Marilyn graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with honours and became licensed in 2006 as a Registered Massage Therapist under the Regulated Health Professions Act. Having worked in the insurance industry for 24 years in several departments including Marketing, Actuarial and Mutual Funds, she has found a home in the Health Care field.

While in school, Marilyn attained specialties in Sports and Geriatrics. She volunteered an additional 70 hours of massage beyond the required 30 hours. Marilyn has volunteered at the University of Guelph running club, Wilfred Laurier University Athletics Department, Trinity Nursing Home, the Cancer Society, Mental Health and the MS Society.  
 
Since entering Massage Therapy, Marilyn has been driven by results and success from her clients. She has continued to upgrade her skills by taking courses in Hot Stone Therapy, Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Thai Massage, Strain Counterstrain and Orthopedic Massage. She is also a Certified Laser Therapist and has successfully treated sprains, fractures, wounds, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, spinal stenosis, acne, bursitis and bone spurs.

Her massage treatments consist of a combination of Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Myofascial release, Trigger Point release and Deep Tissue techniques. Your treatment will depend on your needs, your medical history and your experiences. The techniques and pressure used will be based on your comfort level. Marilyn can effectively treat those who are sensitive to pressure or those who want a deep tissue or sports massage and everything in between.

Treatments are geared towards the individual, focusing on the specific problem but remembering that the pain is not always where the problem is. Marilyn offers chair and table massage treatments. She also offers laser therapy for specific conditions, and hot stone therapy for a deeply relaxing treatment.
